Research and Interests:

Dr. Mayfield teaches Introduction to Physical Geography; Vegetation, Soils and Landforms; Senior Seminar; Geographical Hydrology; and a graduate seminar in physical geography. In addition, Mayfield team-teaches field courses in Costa Rica and the American West with faculty members in biology.

Dr. Mayfield’s current research focuses on several aspects of global change and flood hydrology.
